These sound like some items we would like to take a look at. 12k gold is always an interest, as is anything old or signed. Of course, it is very important for us to review the condition, age, maker’s marks and other characteristics before we can give you any definitive value. I have a antique jewelry/trinket box made with ormolu and decorated with enamel on the base. On the cover is a micro mosaic roundel representing the doves of Pliny set on black slate. The interior is lined and marked with the name of dealer that made it and sold it in Rome, Italy approximately 1880. I was wondering if that was something you would be interested in?

I have an old Coke bottle from around 1950’s (big bottle of Coca-Cola – probably a pint size) as well as a big bottle of 7-Up and a 1950’s sprinkler that goes into each bottle for ironing purposes — I remember both my Grandmothers using these to do their ironing. Would you be interested in something like this?
Thank you.
We would like to see them. Can you bring them in?
Thanks.
Hello! I was looking in my attic and found a large box of Ezra Brooks Decanters. Let me know if you are interested thanks.
Hello Brandi,
This is definitely the type of item you would need to bring in. We are always interested in collectibles, but these particular decanters usually do not carry much value on their own. There may be bottles in your collection of specific interest. We have to look and see. Hope that helps.
Thanks!
I have a miniature secretary by Maitland Smith. It’s hand painted and in very good condition considering I have had it for23 years. I have the key to it as well. I believe it was manufactured in Thailand. I saw one on Ebay for sale by a lady from the U.K. and she was asking 10k US. I would like to know the value of my little secretary. Would you be able to help me with an appraisal? I also have a picture of a boy and a sheep. Thank you for your consideration.
Bobbie
Bobbie,
We would like you to call our store and then send in some pictures. It could certainly have some value, however, in cases like these, there are many factors that contribute to resale value vs appraisal value. First, the authenticity would need to be verified. Many pieces are faked. Next, the condition would need to be evaluated. Sometimes, the average consumer may see great condition, while an expert will look for a very unusual hallmark or notation that an average collector may not know about. And those are just some considerations. We can give you more detail. Please call us at 937-275-3226 and let someone know you would like to send some pictures via email or phone of your piece. Tell them Adrienne referred you.
Thank You!

Hello Brandy,
You have come to the right place. We are experts in antique jewelry, with over 100 years combined experience and two Graduate Gemologists on board. Your Victorian pieces sound very interesting and we would love to see them and tell you what we think.
Thanks,
Adrienne
I was wondering if you buy anything from the Hamilton collection or Bradford exchange. I have some collections/collectibles from the native American collections with certificates of authenticity. Most of the items are the sacred spirit collaction sets. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely
Tammy
Hello Tammy,
Yes we buy these types of items, however, as we say to most of our customers, bring the items in so we can appraise them. This particular type of collectible does not always hold value. We often find that some pieces in their collections will have value, while others have very little. For example, their Coca-Cola items have had success, but others have little to no value. We need to see the items 🙂
Thanks
Adrienne
I have an old record player console, do you purchase such item? If so are they worth anything?
We purchase record players. They must work. If it is a nice version only missing something such as a needle, I would still suggest letting us look. Value is dependent on condition and type. This is an item you would have to bring in.
Thank you!
I have a coca cola cooler from maybe 1940’s 1950’s it that something you are interested in I figured I would ask around. Thanks

Hi, I purchased a bunch of items from an auction and 2 of them are oil paintings with very old frames, which are covering any signature. The frames themselves have paper backing and a sticker that says it was “Framed by Lowe Brothers Paints Salem Mall”. I have looked it up and can only find information on the brothers but on no frames they did. Do you have any info that could help me? Also, I am in the Dayton area so could bring them in if you like. Thanks so much.
Bring them in! Our buyers have seen lots of art from the Dayton area and they can assess the age and value. They may be able to shed light on the framers. Sounds interesting!
